Question from Linda: Asked on 27/10/2025 1 What is the benefit of a rotary thermostat?
2 Would it make sense to plug in the radiator, get it up to required temperature, then disconnect from electric source and move it to a different part of the room? Would it still radiate heat for say an hour?
Hi Linda, the rotary thermostat lets you set and maintain a target temperature automatically; the heater switches on and off as needed, saving electricity and preventing overheating. An oil-filled radiator will stay warm and keep radiating heat for roughly 1 hour after being unplugged, depending on room temperature and insulation. However, once unplugged, the thermostat and heating element stop working, so it will only release stored heat and gradually cool down. Thank you.
Question from RI: Asked on 25/10/2025 How much does it cost to run this Heater for approximately 6 hours a day
Hi,To run the De'Longhi TRD41025T heater for 6 hours a day, it will consume about 15 kWh of electricity, which would cost you approximately £5.10 per day, assuming an average electricity rate of £0.34 per kWh. If you use it every day for a month, the total cost would be around £153. Keep in mind, actual costs may vary depending on your energy provider's rates. Thanks!

Question from Barry: Asked on 01/10/2025 Hi
Does any off the oil filled radiators come with a lead longer than 1.5m
Hello, no, this is the standard cable size. You could always extend it yourself and reattach the plug, just ensure you are following the guidlines on this so it is done safely. Thanks
Hi Barry,The De'Longhi Dragon 4 TRD41025T oil-filled radiator comes with a standard power cord approximately 1.3 meters long.
Crucially, De'Longhi advises against using extension leads with their heaters due to potential safety concerns and inadequate ratings. Therefore, it is not recommended to modify the power cord or use an extension lead to increase the reach of this unit. Thanks!

Question from Haleema: Asked on 17/01/2023 Hi
Wanted to know does this oil filled appliance still need to be plugged in? So does this come with a plug? So will it use electricity basically
Hi Haleema,
Thanks for getting in touch!
The oil inside Oil Filled radiators is a diathermic oil - a liquid that conducts heat efficiently, the heaters don't use the oil for fuel. These are electric and need to be plugged in.
Hope this helps,
Sam
