HOW IT WORKS
1. Plug your dehumidifier into the UK socket on top of the Dehumidifier Mate - the Mate powers the dehumidifier and only supplies it when the Mate is switched on.
2. Run a short drain pipe (≤50 cm) from the dehumidifier’s permanent drain outlet into the Mate’s water inlet, keeping a downward slope.
3. Push the supplied 5 m pipe or replacement drain pipe onto the pump outlet and route it to your drain - up to 10 m of lift.
4. Switch on. The Mate drains automatically; add Wi-Fi to monitor humidity, temperature and water extracted from your phone.
SMART MONITORING - THE PART A BASIC DEHUMIDIFIER CAN’T DO
Connect over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi using the free Tuya Smart app (iOS & Android). From your phone you can:
• Track water extracted - by day, week and month - to see the room genuinely drying out.
• Monitor live room humidity and temperature, and watch the trend over time.
• Get alerts if a fault, full tank or pump problem is detected - useful when the unit is in a basement, boat or empty property.
• Control the Mate remotely without walking to the unit.
Drainage and safety protection work fully on their own - Wi-Fi is the bonus layer, not a requirement.
