The Portasplit12k is designed for fast, simple installation with no permanent building work required. The system consists of a floor standing indoor unit and a compact outdoor unit, connected by a factory fitted, pre charged flat refrigerant hose. No additional pipework, flaring, or refrigerant handling is required, allowing the unit to be set up quickly without specialist tools.
The indoor unit is a free standing appliance and does not require wall mounting. The outdoor unit is securely placed using the supplied window or balcony mounting bracket, with optional mounting accessories available separately for alternative installation scenarios. All essential installation components are included, reducing setup time and eliminating the need to purchase extra parts.
Portasplit12k features a plug and play design and does not require installation by an F Gas certified engineer, as the refrigeration circuit is factory sealed. Simply follow the installation instructions in the user manual to ensure correct placement and safe operation.

Hi, For the Midea PortaSplit 12000 BTU (PortaSplit12K), the connection between the indoor and outdoor units uses a fixed, pre-charged refrigerant hose that is 2 metres in length. This is a sealed system and the hose length is not extendable or available in alternative lengths such as 5 metres.
