Question from Andrew Gore: Asked on 23/06/2025 I live in a penthouse apartment where unfortunately a fixed permanent unit is not possible, so a portable unit should be ideal. My apartment has external white rendering and I need to know if any water is vented through the hose as this will mark/stain the rendering and will cause me issues. Is this a possibility?
Hi,The AEG AXP34U339CW portable air conditioner does not expel water through its exhaust hose. It features a self-evaporative system that recycles most condensate. In high humidity, connect a garden hose (sold separately) to the continuous drain outlet, ensuring it leads to a lower drain.
The exhaust hose only expels warm air. Moisture around the exhaust indicates condensation due to high humidity, which is normal. Ensure secure hose connection and consider lower fan speeds. To prevent rendering stains, use a drip tray or place the unit on a non-porous surface, and perform regular maintenance. Thanks!
