Question from Ramona: Asked on 04/07/2011 Hello, do you sell the the filters needed for this product

Answer from mark h: Answered on 04/07/2011
I'm sorry but we don't keep the filters in stock. Generally the air filter can be washed and reused for the lifetime of the unit. www.bluecooling.co.uk generally keep a stock of Amcor spares

Question from garry: Asked on 08/05/2011 hi, are these fully programmable as im wanting one i canset up to come at a certain time and go off at a certain time every day, so like weekly programs, or is it just set the time to go and off

Answer from mark h: Answered on 10/05/2011
They are fully programmable for 24 hours but you only have the option to repeat this, there isn't a full weeks worth of programming unfortunately

Question from Peter R: Asked on 27/03/2011 THis unit has a sleep mode.
Does this mean that it is quiet enough for it to be left on in a bedroom overnight and you could sleep with it running?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 28/03/2011
It really does depend on the person, in the low mode the unit operates at a lower capacity and is significantly quieter so for most people this would be an acceptable noise level to still be able to sleep

Question from albert: Asked on 15/12/2010 Is there any heat to the environment

Answer from mark h: Answered on 17/12/2010
No sorry, they don't have an integrated heater

Question from selvan: Asked on 26/06/2010 Does this model has a heating mode to heat room

Answer from mark h: Answered on 28/06/2010
The temperature can be set 18-32° C but it doesn't have a heater only function

Question from Ballee: Asked on 25/06/2010 Do you sell a kit to connect hose through a wall - ideally a 'plug in' set up that would allow me to remove hose/unit a store during winter - thanks

Answer from mark h: Answered on 25/06/2010
Sorry we don't I'm afraid. Most DIY Superstores sell this kind of vent though

Question from Ballee: Asked on 24/06/2010 Water extraction through the hose versus having a tray to capture water. What are the pros and cons of this method? Does the water drip out of the hose or come out as vapour? thanks

Answer from mark h: Answered on 25/06/2010
Yes, the water comes out as vapour along with the hot air, however, some of the moisture is also blow back out with the cold air after being filtered. The pros are that you don't have to empty water every few hours (only before you store the unit) and also the air doesn't become too dry. There aren't any cons. All good quality portable airconditioners will now use this system, the ones you need to drain regularly are now old fashioned.

Question from Paul M: Asked on 22/06/2010 You quote 49DB is this at it's lowest or highest setting. If lowest, what is the DB for the highest.

Answer from mark h: Answered on 22/06/2010
Upto 60dB on full fan mode

Question from Si: Asked on 06/06/2010 Just to check - Andy asked whether the PLMB12KE-410 is the same as this model or not - and looking at the manuals on the Amcor site, it seems that the more expensive PLMB12KE-410 has a 3M Filtrete (pollen) filter whereas this model does not. Is this correct?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 07/06/2010
Yes, it still has the standard partial filter but not the 3M or carbon though they are the same fitment. Not all the PLMB12KE-410 have the 3m & carbon as this is an optional extra, but the ones we are selling do include them.

Question from Andy B: Asked on 05/06/2010 Is this product ready to go from delivery or will it need to be gassed? What is your quickest delivery time?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 07/06/2010
Ready to go out of the box. Quickest delivery is next working day.

Question from Andy: Asked on 02/06/2010 Hi, is there any difference between this and the other Amcor Plasma 12,000 apart from the blue vs brown design? Thanks

Answer from mark h: Answered on 03/06/2010
No difference, just the design. In fact, despite the images the colour on both is very similar (light silver/grey and dark grey), its just we have used manufacturers images for the PLM12 and taken our own images for the 619615 - hence the variation.

Question from Andy: Asked on 01/06/2010 Hi, this looks exactly the same apart from design (and price reduction as the other Amcor Plasma 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner - PLMB12KE-410. Is there any other differences, or is one a newer model? Thanks.

Answer from mark h: Answered on 03/06/2010
The difference is the design of the front panel only, the internals are the same.

Question from Jo Pavey: Asked on 26/05/2010 Please confirm that this model will be Ok for 200 Sq Feet office which has 25% Glass.

Answer from mark h: Answered on 27/05/2010
If there are quite a few people in the room with computers you would require a 15000 BTU unit otherwise this would be suitable

Question from NH: Asked on 14/04/2010 Is 49dB the minimum? What is the maximum?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 15/04/2010
Yes 49dB to 60dB
