Question from tom: Asked on 04/07/2011 would this work ok in a caravan?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 04/07/2011
This product would be well suited to a small to medium caravan, you could open the windows and use the unit to get the air flowing through

Question from Oli: Asked on 28/06/2011 I would like to use one of these devices in my computer room. I have a sash window that is currently broken and the room gets very hot (up to 30 degrees C ambient). Because this passes the air through the water im concerned of high water content in the air effecting the PC's, can you tell me if this is safe to operate around alot of electrical devices or will prolonged use have the potential to cause damage. I would buy air con but the room is front facing and i don't think it would be secure having a vent out to the front of the house.

Answer from mark h: Answered on 28/06/2011
This unit wouldn't really be suitable for use in a computer room unless its just pointed at a desk where you are working and away from any equipment

Question from Freddy: Asked on 27/06/2011 Hi,
Can you tell me please how big of a room it could work up to?

Thanks

Freddy

Answer from mark h: Answered on 28/06/2011
There are more designed to cool a small area like a desk, sofa or dining area, they wouldn't really be effective to cool a whole room, but if you are spending any time in one place they are very effective

Question from evaporative air cooler: Asked on 01/07/2010 you say; so are ideal for rooms which don't have external windows you then say ; The greatest cooling effect will be felt if the unit is operated in a partly opened doorway or window with the cool conditioned air directed into the room. It is also important to have a door or window partly opened away from the air cooler in order to create the flow through effect

Answer from mark h: Answered on 01/07/2010
Yes, if you don't have any doors or windows that you can vent a hose out of for an air-conditioning unit then this cooler can still be used, however to get the best out of it you will require a window and door to be open to create a through flow effect

Question from Pat: Asked on 30/06/2010 Does this model require a hose

Answer from mark h: Answered on 01/07/2010
No, a hose isnt required for the coolers

Question from Cat: Asked on 28/06/2010 Hi
How long does this run for when filled with water? That is how frequently does it need to be refilled?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 29/06/2010
Generally 3-5 hours, but it depends on the fan speed setting

Question from tommy: Asked on 27/06/2010 just wondering how much power does it use,? because i don't want to end up with a expensive electric bill.

Answer from mark h: Answered on 28/06/2010

Unfortunately this isnt specified by the manufacturer, but comparing it to similar products it would be less than 40dB

Question from shaz: Asked on 24/05/2010 I was wondering if this air cooler works just like an air con. Does it cool the room on a hot night or just work like a fan moving the humid air about?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 24/05/2010
They dont work like an air conditioner, they are more like a fan but with added cooling benefits due to the water. Please see http://www.aircondirect.co.uk/Air_Coolers/prod.asp
