If it is not possible to accommodate the expansion in the existing pipe work, then it is necessary to use an Expansion vessel and no-return valve (Kit A). If the mains water pressure may exceed 3.5 bar, a pressure reducing valve (Kit B) should also be installed. The discharge from relief valve must be made in a safe and conspicuous manner; therefore a Tundish (Kit C) is available for 10 and 15 Litre units if required.

• Water Heater Kit A - 2 Litre expansion vessel and non-return valve.  Expansion Vessel with non return valve – use if pipework between cold water inlet on  the heater  and cold  tap on the sink is less than 2.8 meters
• Water Heater Kit B - Preset 3.5 bar pressure reducing valve. Pressure reducing valve if mains inlet water pressure is more than 3.5 bars or unsure of the water pressure. The discharge water pipe must be run through an exterior wall and terminate in a safe place such as water drains
• Water Heater Kit C - Discharge Tundish:  use if the excess water pipe is of excessive length
