This product is no longer available.

This 3-in-1 Air Cooler, Air Purifier and Humidifier from Amcor is ideal for both home and office use. It is designed to create a cool stream of air around the room and is a very effective alternative to an Air Conditioner. Its cheaper to buy and cheaper to run than an Air Conditioner, its compact design makes it easier to store and we expect this new product to be a big seller throughout the summer.

Designed to be simple to use, just fill the 9 litre tank for up to 18 hours of constantly cooled air. Once frozen add the 4 litre ice pack into the tank to cool the air even further! The 3 speed fan and oscillating louvers create an even level of cooling throughout the room whilst the washable air filter maintains a clean environment. It also humidifies the air as it cools, keeping the air cooler for longer.

Question from Charles: Asked on 17/07/2009 In a small 2x2 meter room what would the lowest temperature range be, I’m looking to control a box room for the drying curing of meats, the room has a natural temperature of 50/55F the temperature I would like to achieve a range between 42F and 49F, if it is possible to get the room down to 46F I would be looking at an inline thermostat to control the on off so keeping a constant value

Answer from mark h: Answered on 17/07/2009
Unfortunately this model is now EOL. For dry curing meats an evaporative cooler wouldn't be suitable as they humidify the air. Take a look at the 630691 as this would meet your requirements temperature wise and keep the air dry, however external venting of the hose would be required.

Question from Shane: Asked on 27/06/2009 Does this product have a built in thermostat?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 28/06/2009
No it doesn't as coolers don't regulate the temperature.

Question from Pam: Asked on 16/07/2008 Does this product have a hose that has to vent outside?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 17/07/2008
No, the coolers don’t use hoses as they work differently from the air conditioning units.

Question from belfryman: Asked on 10/05/2008 I can't have a door open because of the noise. Will this unit or the cheaper one be of any real benefit? From the answers I've read to questions it seems like you don't get the circulation you would from a fan or notice much cooling effect like you would from air conditioning, what benefit would it actually be? I hope it would be some as can't afford an air conditioning unit!

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 22/05/2008
I suggest WAC-414 - It is the best performing air cooler in environments with no air circulation.

Question from Louise: Asked on 10/05/2008 Does it freeze the water itself ?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 12/05/2008
No, you will need to freeze the ice packs.

Question from John: Asked on 16/07/2007 what is the noise like on this conditioner, thanks in advance

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 18/07/2007
This unit is NOT an air conditioner. It is classed as an evaporative air cooler, which means the only moving part is the fan, which runs extremely quietly, producing considerably less noise then an air conditioning unit.

Question from Helena: Asked on 23/06/2007 Must a window be open whilst the product is in use?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 29/06/2007
It is recommended that you open a window to create a flow-through effect to maximise the cooling area. However, it is not essential.
