How to Use the Calculator

Room Size - Enter your room dimensions in either Metres or Feet.

Heat Sources - Enter the number of people and computers in the space you are cooling. Please enter zero if none are present in the room.

Calculate - Now click Calculate and you will receive details of how many BTUs of cooling are required for your room.

BTU Information

The rating used as a guide to coolness is the British Thermal Unit or BTU. The higher the BTU rating the larger the room which can be cooled by the Air Conditioner.

As a general rule we advise you to buy an Air Conditioner with a minimum BTU of 9000, this is the amount required to cool a small bedroom. Larger roooms need around 11000 and office spaces require around 15000.
