Question from Sam: Asked on 12/05/2009 Does this model heat as well? Also, does the water tank need emptying manually and how regularly does one need to do that? Thanks

Answer from mark h: Answered on 13/05/2009
Yes, it has a dedicated heater. Its unlikely that you will have to drain the tank as in normal operation all of the moisture is recycled or vented out of the hose, but if there are high levels of humidify for example drying clothes indoors, you may need to drain it.

Question from Tim: Asked on 02/09/2008 You recomend the 29-159 to Gary and C Corney for motor home/boat as it is small but the tc 8036 looks smaller. I also want to put a mobile air con in a motor home but am limbted particularly for height to 710 mm. My out flow would be restricted by current vent toapprox 75mm diameter would this severirly compromise the unit?
Thanks Tim

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 05/09/2008
You would be ok height wise, but the vent out would have to be a minimum of 140mm for the hose to vent out. This would be the same for all units if you want a fixed vent.

Question from Ferah: Asked on 30/07/2008 Hi there,
please can you advise which air con unit we should purchase, we have a very busy office which is basically an extended portacabin with 16 staff in the office, i have read that there needs to be an outlet for a pipe? there is absolutely no room for us to put the pipe out of any window unless it is a long pipe!
Please help us!!

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 31/07/2008
Yes, the pipe will need an outlet. Most of the pipes are a maximum of 1.5m and cannot be extended unfortunately. You could try 6 air coolers such as AC705CE as these do not require an outside vent, but in the environment you describe, these will be a poor substitute. Ideally you will need 2 x 10,000 or 12,000 btu units minimum.

Question from lisa: Asked on 29/07/2008 i am considering buying a small air con unit to use in the home. we have a 3 month old baby so would like a quite one

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 29/07/2008
For home use I would reccomend the Prem-i-Air 8000 BTU Air Conditioner - TC-8036. It is ideal for smaller rooms and has two speed settings so that it can run more quietly when it suits you.
Thanks

Question from C Coney: Asked on 01/06/2008 I see you recommend the 29-159 for Gary Lott (for med size motorhome) - I am looking for same for boat cabin 2m x 6m. Is this the smallest, most compact unit you supply? Also what power does it draw (UK)? Many thanks

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 02/06/2008
This is the smallest air conditioning unit we currently have - It draws 1800 watts and has a standard UK 230v plug.

Question from Gary Lott: Asked on 17/05/2008 I am considering buying a small air con unit for my medium size motorhome (2.5m x 6m). Can you advise a suitable unit and give an idea of how loud they are. I have on board storage when not in use but I would like the unit to be small. Also, what current do they draw on start up and running? Thanks for your assistance

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 21/05/2008
I suggest model number 29-159 as it is the quietest unit we sell and is ideal for small spaces.
