Easycom: Unfortunately the hose cannot be extended. There isn't a water tank to empty as the moisture gets expelled out of the hose with the hot air.

1-Jun-2009 Ian: why do you say the hose cannot be extended? surely you can just add a section with hose from B&Q or elsewhere to allow it to vent further away or is there a technical reason why the unit cannot push the exhaust more than a couple of meters?

mark h: If you increase the hose length it will cause heat to back up in the unit. This will reduce the efficiency causing the unit to work much harder, shorten its lifespan and cost more money to operate.

26-Jun-2009 Kath: Do you have ANY models that have a longer hose. Our windows are high - approx `1530 mm from the floor to the lowest point in the open window where the top of the hose would sit.

mark h: The only model with a longer hose is the PKY12 1.8m
