Question from david: Asked on 16/06/2009 how many amps does it use?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 16/06/2009
Unfortunately this isn't provided in the specifications, however the most powerful units we sell only draw 6 A so this one will be around 5 A

Question from Robin Morrell: Asked on 07/06/2009 Can the hose be made suitable for wall fitting? Are all hoses standard diameter - what about an Electrolux drier hose wall fitting kit? Unfortunately don't have a suitable window! RM

Answer from mark h: Answered on 08/06/2009
The hoses are approximately 13 diameter. We would recommend a wall vent that the hose can be placed through, but then closed off in the winter when not in use. These can be bought cheaply from the likes of B&Q

Question from FKH: Asked on 02/06/2009 Does this product come with hose that needs to be put through window?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 03/06/2009
Yes it does. The hose is 1.5m

Question from Jon_Wood: Asked on 26/04/2009 I'm looking to purchase an air con unit for my babys bedroom. I see that the Electrolux 8000 BTU High End Air Conditioner has the quietest decibel rating for general usage. But it doesn't seem to have different modes of operation i.e. a quiet mode for sleeping? In which case which is the quietest unit you sell so I can leave it on to maintain cool air when my baby is asleep?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 27/04/2009
This unit does have various fan settings and is noticeably quieter than any other unit on all settings, though the 36dB noise level as on all the units is measured at the lowest fan setting.

Question from pete: Asked on 05/04/2009 Does this electrolux model have a timer, and if so does the timer have to be set daily, or will simply come on and off on the cycle you have set, day after day.
Also does it have a water collection tank.

Answer from mark h: Answered on 06/04/2009
The timer can be set so it will switch on and off at the same times daily. There is a water tank but its unlikely you will have to empty it unless the levels of humidity are high as most excess moisture is expelled out of the hose.
