The usual technique used to remove the moisture is to condense the moisture onto a cold surface. A fan draws the room's air over the cold coil of the Dehumidifier to condense the moisture which drips into a collection tank. Many Dehumidifiers also have a continuous drain function which eliminates the need to empty the water. The dry air then passes through a hot coil to heat it back up to its original temperature.
