mark h: As some people are more conscious of noise than others at night time its hard to say. For the majority of people the volume of noise will be acceptable. This is one of the quieter units we sell with a night time quiet mode, and it wont be much louder than having a fan running.

mark h: Sorry, unfortunately not. All the manufacturers specify that extending the hose will result in too much heat backing up in the unit, the loss of efficiency and possible damage.

mark h: Refrigerant will last for the life of the unit, typically 3-5 years depending on usage
