The AirCube or AirCube Max are 5-in-1 all-year-round-units and so the only air treatment units you will ever need to purchase.
The unit can be used as a normal Air Conditioner to cool small rooms (using the included hose to vent out the hot air) or it can be used to cool a specific area eg an office desk, a child's cot, a sofa in the living room, a bed at home etc. If used as a spot cooler, no venting is required - it's like having an air-conditioned fan so it is idea for areas where no hose can be used such as rooms without windows or where the window needs to remain closed eg for security reasons.
The AirCube® also works as a purpose build dehumidifier ideal for houses up to 5 bedrooms featuring a digital humidistat, a large water tank and power- saving logic.

** the intelligent ElectriQ control logic means that you get a balance between saving mode operation and accurate dehumidification. Humidistat can be set from 30%-90% When the target relative humidity has been reached the dehumidifier will switch to fan only mode to check that the relative humidity is stable. Than the unit will go to standby mode. The unit will wake up regularly and run the fan again to check the relative humidity once more. If the relative humidity has risen above the set point then the dehumidifier will start to operate again. If the relative is ok then the dehumidifier will go back to stand by. This process saves electricity and you can set your unit and forget about meddling with settings.

What is a BTU?
1 BTU is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of liquid water by one degree from 60° to 61° Fahrenheit at a constant pressure of one atmosphere. As a general rule we advise you to buy an Air Conditioner with a minimum 7,000BTUs as this is the minimum required to cool a small room (18sq/m) on a hot day. Medium rooms (24sq/m) need around 10,000BTUs and larger rooms and office spaces (36sq/m) require around 15,000BTUs.
