Evaporative Air Coolers are a great way of cooling a room without going to the expense of buying a traditional Air Conditioner. They are also quieter (perfect for bedrooms or studies), consume less power and don't require a hose to vent so are ideal for rooms which don't have external windows. They are also perfect for people wanting moisture to remain in the air (eg. some sufferers of Asthma dont want the air to be too dry) as traditional air conditioners also dehumidify.
For greater cooling, most of our models come with an internal freezer section which can be removed, placed into a freezer and then put back in again, chilling the air even further. This type of cooler uses less than a third of the power of a portable air conditioner and can be over 75% cheaper to buy.
The main advantage of using an air coolers is that fresh air is continuously drawn from outside whilst the warm air is pushed back out of the windows, whereas air conditioners recycle the same air over and over, cooling it further on each cycle.

How do Coolers work? They operate by passing warm air of the water tank (or the freezer elements to cool the air. They soak up cooled water into a vertical pad then sucking hot air through the back and expelling cooled air from the front, hydrating it as it passes through. This features is particular useful for people with a health condition who require moistness in the air.

How to get the best out of a Cooler: For best performance position the unit in a location that will create a flow through air effect. The greatest cooling effect will be felt if the unit is operated in a partly, opened doorway or window with the cool conditioned air directed into the room. It is also important to have a door or window partly opened away from the air cooler, in order to create the flow through effect
