Our range of portable Air Conditioners are ideal not only for Homes and Offices but also for any other small space such as workshops, garages and caravans.

Air Conditioners do more than cool the air. They also purify and dehumidify it, removing dampness and creating cool, cleaner, breathable air. Some of our models also have heaters which make them a good all year round investment.

To choose the right Air Conditioner, you need to know the size of the room you want to cool:

For small rooms (up to 200 sq ft / 20ft x 10ft), choose a unit between 7,000 and 8,000 BTUs (British Thermal Units )

For medium sized rooms (up to 360 sq ft / 20ft x 18ft), select a unit between 9,000 and 12,000 BTUs

For large rooms (up to 500 sq ft / 25ft x 20ft), choose a 14,000 or 15,000 unit

Remember factors which affect your choice of air conditioner include how sunny the room is, how many computers you have and how many people occupy the room. The more heat in the room, the more BTU you need.

How do Air Conditioners work? They use environmentally friendly refrigerant to cool the air. All come with a short hose (approx 5 inches in diameter). This is used to remove the heat and for some models, it also removes moisture from the atmosphere. They require some ventilation to take away the hot air and the moisture and so the hose needs to be either placed next to an open window or vented into an attic, drop ceiling, stairwell or even another room. Despite what some companies say, you cannot extend these hose nor can you narrow the exit as too much heat will back up in the unit.

Some of our units need to be drained every so often of water that has been collected by emptying a small tray. However all remove condensation through the hose - some are more efficient than others.

All models are now energy efficient, costing not much more than a domestic fridge. Options include a heater, remote control and a timer so you can set to automatically switch off at night. All or our products are brand new, UK spec and come with 1 years warranty.
